In a nutshell, if your media outlet is doing good work and you want to interview me or get in touch with me, I am available 24/7 as long as I receive prior notification of 24 hours or more.

2) To post up all the press that the Displaced African receives and all its media appearances:
I don’t want to have to stop churning out content in the intended order or interrupt the regularly scheduled programming of the blog every time I appear in the media.
And so I have created this page which I will update every time I make a media appearance that I can publicly share. Check on this place regularly as I intend on media and media appearances becoming a big part of the Displaced African blog.

On 21st December 2008, after a period where I had tried for months, without any effort, one of my articles got featured on Global Voices Online. It was:

Dang! I listened to the interview and you did really well. The show seemed so highly edited ama it’s that they(the people on the show) ongea really fast.
@rags: Thanks man. First of all, as you would know I speak about as quick as a hyped up road runner. A lot of editing was done though. We actually did a 15 minute interview first, which wasn’t sufficient and then did a much longer interview which was cut down and edited into what you heard. They also did some cool stuff like cutting sound out of one place and putting it somewhere else on the timeline.
Mwangi, just listened to the interview, you did pretty well, keep on doing the great work….

Sema. Great inteveiw as everyone else says. Love how they give you some chat time then start to lady gossip about you. Just a suggestion, do you wanna cut the songs and just have the interview. It kinda takes away from the interview. Me thinks.:-)
@whome: I thought about that but I didn’t want to take away from the lead in time, though as I said it was a very amateur endevour on my part. Thanks for the morale. I have another interview in 12 hours and it’s good to know that I am not all together repugnant when interviewed.

Mwangi, were those photos taken when you were in high school?
@ezz: Nope that’s me with my baby face. In fact as I type this, its worse, I look like a twelve year old because I have shaved all my facial hair off. My mother is a middle aged woman who can easily pass for a woman in her late 20s and a lot of the time when we walk around together people think we are either brothers and sisters or some even think I am her husband………the fountain of youth just runs in the family, so I’ll take that as a compliment 🙂
