Record yourself please so we can listen kesho.

Night night & good luck with this, man.

  2. Mwangi says:

@Mo: Thanks for the luv Mo. I’ll see if I can get a recording of it and from what I hear, it’s tentative, but I may be on the show next week so hopefully this is the beginning of yet another tipping point.

  3. El Segundo says:

Yay will listen online, it will be 8 pm here in nyc, that’s in 10 mins… let me get ready!

  4. Linda says:

Ola! Really proud of what your doing – loving that you are informing “Africans” on what they need to know… where were you when I first moved to Canada? Keep doing what your doing and PLEASE – this is NOT a waste of time – the information is vital. If you can help one person, trust me it goes a long way! Enough said! Be Blessed dude!
    Always – Linda

  5. Linda says:

    Oh!…..The Silent Yay!!!!!!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. meek meek says:

i listened to the beginning… you must be excited what were your thoughts how did you feel? congratulations Mwangi?

  7. Sema says:

Kweli kikuyus help each other. You can’t ignore that it’s the truth cos tehre with mature subject matter and more fundamental in unifying people etc…but guess what, Mwangi gets airtime – and from another kikuyu. Classic.
Oh, I am not a blogger. Just an apt observer.

  8. rags says:

    Congratz

  9. whome says:

    Congratulations.
    So excited for you.
Sad that i missed it though.
Please tell me that you recorded it and you’ll post a download link.

  10. Carol says:

  11. val says:

Mwangi haven’t been on your page for eons..I’m guessing I’ll miss the show..blame the dodgy internet in Bongo land..but must say I love that show..so congrats and enjoy yourself

  12. Carol says:

It will be horrible of me not to mention how I am glad that you put this Classic FM link here on. Thanks a lot, I can’t help;its all am listing to and I feel am home!

  13. acolyte says:

Congrats, lakini those truly are faces for Radio……

  14. Saz =) says:

    Our Mwangi is FAMOUS! hahaha

Mmm… 3am… means it was what time in Kenya?

    On ya, mate.

  15. whome says:

@acolyte lol! ๐Ÿ˜€ stop hating on the capital crew

  16. cicero says:

Are you going to post a recording? What did you talk about?

I liked the David (Mashada) interview. A pretty knowledgeable guy who would probably be successful even if he was a scuba diver.

  17. Mwangi says:

@El Segundo: Hope you caught it, I am so excited! I bounced around the house for like 20 minutes when I first heard my name mentioned.

  18. Mwangi says:

@Linda: I canโ€™t say thanks enough for the props and the love. Super super appreciated. For you, me thinks Iโ€™ll definitely keep it going.
You know what, my hope is that, some day every single immigrant moving into a fresh new country can never say that they couldnโ€™t find information on how to make it. I am glad that this blog is the blog you wish you had when you first reached Canada, I think the same thing when I first landed in Oz. That yay wasn’t silent, lol, all those exclamations, ๐Ÿ˜‰

Be blessed too, I guess talk to you next week.

  19. Mwangi says:

@meek meek: I bounced around the house for like twenty minutes straight after listening to the first part. Apparently I was spoken about a little bit more but am yet to listen to the rest of what was said about me. Still on a high from part one.

  20. Mwangi says:

@Sema: Linda is a Kiuk? I didn’t know. So does that mean I shouldn’t expect to be on anything other than Kameme (Kikuyu music station) and Capital FM from now on? Hmmm, best brush up on my Kiuk….;) Or maybe I should change my name depending on the radio station I go to….get on a few Coast stations calling myself, Mustafa…….;)

  21. Mwangi says:

@rags: Short, sweet and to the point, huh? Thank you my friend, thank you profusely.

  22. Mwangi says:

@whome: I definitely have a recording of the first part, am unsure if I recorded the following parts. Once I am finished talking to all you guys I’m going to go through the hours of Capital FM and recorded, see how much I got, holla at the folks at Capital and ask them if I can post it up and if so, I should post it up soon enough…………why is everyone but Linda not doing the silent yay ;)?

  23. Mwangi says:

@Carol: If the folks at Capital have no probz, with it, I’ll post some sound soon enough and should the interview happen, I’ll see if I can get that on the blog too.

  24. Mwangi says:

@val: Indeed, haven’t heard from you in ages. Hope u r enjoying TZ. Thanks for the warm wishes.

  25. Mwangi says:

@Carol: Glad I could take you back home. For those who don’t know, almost every radio station you used to listen to in Africa, should you Google their website, they almost always have a link like “Stream now” or “Listen live” where you can listen to the radio station live on the Internet.

  26. Mwangi says:

@acolyte: That was just cold man. Thanks for the warm wishes brother!

  27. Mwangi says:

@Saz: It was actually 10 a.m., Australian time and 3 a.m. Kenyan time. Thank you for the warm wishes. I am definitely having a party in my head right now.

  28. Mwangi says:

@cicero: They actually didn’t interview me. They spoke about the blog and as far as I can tell, I am going to be interviewed next week. David indeed is a brilliant cat. I think one of the coolest things about this blog is just the calibre of people I am meeting and interviewing as a result, truly brilliant guys. Like just before I typed this I came from a conversation (which I will post up in about 12 days with Derrick Ashong and if you don’t know who that is please go to Youtube and type that name or look for Derrick Ashong on this site)

  29. whome says:

Oh yea DNA. What initials and what a man. Am so jealous that you talked to him. He’s a legend. Can’t wait to soma the post.
    Keep them coming. Ali bumbaye!

  30. Mwangi says:

@who me: It’s gonna be pretty cool, pretty cool

  31. Congrats! ๐Ÿ™‚

  32. Evan says:

    Congratulations!

  33. Mwangi says:

@Caustic Blonde: Thank you, thank you kindly!

  34. Mwangi says:

    @Evan: Merci!

  35. […] I spoke about a few days ago, the Displaced African (tDA) was talked about on one of the largest radio station’s in Kenya, Capital FM, during their show…Urban Nites. Thanks to everyone who showed much love and to those of you who asked for a recording […]

  36. Chiira says:

I have listened to one of the chics talk about your website and i decided to visit it. Those guys have truly helped in marketing you. And last night’s interview was really cool.

  37. Mwangi says:

@Chiira: Welcome to tDA. I am glad you enjoyed the interview and hope it was of use to you. Any feedback, comments and questions and my contacts are at the top of the page.

Folks at Capital indeed showed me excess love and I am so thankful for that. Hopefully it will bring on a flood of new people who can get value from this joint.
